According to Campbell, the man who made it, Episode 15 of the Friends of the Stars Podcasts is, “like listening to Radio fucking 4?. Let’s see about that, shall we.
Executive Producer Robson turns the tables on this one and becomes the man with the questions, grilling a clearly excited Craig about his recent trip to New Zealand. Expect the usual great tunes, swearing and that peculiar kind of back-handed ignorance you only get from British people when they are forced to leave this rainy island.

As well as laying down the plans for 2009 at the allotment, Executive Producer Robson and Craig discuss The Myth of The Deep-Fried Mars Bar, How Hard It Is To Dig A Grave and Whether Or Not You Can Eat Heroin. Punctuating a selection of fine tunes from the likes of AC/DC, Dolly Parton and Glen Campbell the conversation veers violently between subjects including The Crisis in English Cricket, The Futility of Novelty Socks as a Personality Statement and, controversially, What To Have For Pudding.

Clocking in at 35 minutes and 12 seconds, Episode 11 finds a reasonably lubricated Executive Producer Robson and Craig discussing Wax Cylinder Recording Devices, The Nocturnal Habits Of Chris Martin and, without any apparent irony, The Meaning and Consequences of Libel. FOTS-POD10 - “The Green, Green Grass of Robson” (January 21st 2009)
Episode 10 is a more sedate affair than previous releases. Executive Producer Robson and Craig are found here in a pensive, post-New Year mood and engage in discussions on subjects including Rock Climbing in Cornwall, How The Gulf Stream Keeps Britain Warm and Why The Beatles Aren’t in iTunes. Indeed, it’s not until the alcohol kicks in at around the 20 minute mark that the language and conversation hit their customary low point. As usual, then, mind the ears of sensitive young folk when playing this recording.

As such our listeners will notice there is no audio footage of Executive Producer Robson and members of the band swearing and bickering in this cast. Fear not, for normal service will be resumed in FOTS-POD#9.

Later on in the evening when this podcast was recorded, Campbell was stabbed by vicious street hoodies. Eeek!
Listen
FOTS-POD5 - Episode 5 - “Run, Robson, Run”
To be honest this one is a bit rubbish. Executive Producer Robson and Craig spent their valuable recording time embroiled in a ‘discussion’ that proved to be as useless and boring as it was circular. We cobbled together what we could from the scraps.
Listen

Does excess drinking lead to reasoned opinions on anything, anything at all? Find out as the question is posed in the direction of The Merits of Public Art. There are also visits to Liverpool and the beach.
Listen
FOTS-POD - Episode 3 - “Brain Pop Robson”
Imagine if the United Nations was a two-man operation fuelled by historical ignorance and a really, really good jukebox. Then imagine that it set about charting the high-watermark achievements of mankind using only a microphone, bickering and cans of lager…
Welcome, then, to Episode 3 of the FOTS-POD…featuring music from Willy Mason, Bob Dylan and many more (and the theme tune from Supergran).
Listen
