Al-Qeada 0, Glasgow 1

By Craig | July 5, 2007

Campbell Docherty is from Glasgow, as is my lovely girlfriend Valerie.

Glasgow is a fine, fine city - home of many fine things including Irn-Bru, Morton’s Rolls and now…. John Smeaton.

Just in case you’ve been living under a rock for the last 3 or 4 days, John Smeaton helped the 5ive-Oh tackle the Keystone Cops branch of Al-Qeada last weekend when they launched an abortive terror attack on Glasgow Airport armed to the teeth with the mind of a 6-year-old and a Chelsea Tractor full of bang.

Smeaton has been quick to play down his new found hero status, “Me and other folk were just trying to get the boot in and some other guy banjoed him“, but he’s nevertheless become something of a celebrity..and rightly so.

Long may you run, John

….but please don’t consider driving as there are over 1000 pints waiting for you at the airport bar.
